Hi, My name is John McCormick.  I am an avid Michigan/Great Lakes Landscape Photographer.  I'm a lifelong Michigan resident and have been into Landscape Photography for over 30 years.

I have been married to my wife Shelly for 31 years and we have three sons.

It's humbling to have my work displayed all over the country in peoples homes, businesses, websites and printed publications.

I am a Getty Images Artist and Stock Images Contributor.

Michigan is a beautiful place to live and photographing that beauty is my absolute passion.

Some Landscape photographers say Michigan has a lack of scenery. What they’re missing is a wilderness that stretches along miles of Great Lakes shoreline. Nowhere in the United States will you find an area that more reflects the dramatic seasonal changes, beautiful winters, colorful Autumns and springs. It's a landscape continually changing.

Michigan is beautifully diversified with forests and rivers, wetlands of immense size, rocky ridge-lined and sand dune shorelines. And with over 100 lighthouses, historic buildings and an ancient mountain range, Michigan offers more than any photographer could ask for. A weekend gives you a glimpse and a week a good look, but it takes years to see the majority of what Michigan has to offer.
